Numerous Zerodha brokerage users turned to X to express their grievances regarding a technical glitch affecting order placement. Users reported issues such as orders not executing and orders failing to exit on the Kite trading platform.
According to Downdetector, an outage monitoring website, approximately 111 reports were filed, primarily from Nagpur, Mumbai, and Delhi. Of these reports, 73% were related to trading issues, 28% pertained to problems with the website, and 3% were login-related difficulties.
Users voiced their frustration on X as they were unable to execute trades due to the glitch. One user stated, "#zerodha where is trade... Executed but not showing in position," while another commented, "Again, Glitch in #Zerodha... Order Executed... but Trade not showing in Position section."
A user held Zerodha responsible for their losses, emphasizing, "Because of Zerodha's server issue, my positions haven't been visible for 10 minutes, causing me losses. Your team claims they can't do anything about it. Is it not your responsibility?"
Acknowledging the problem, Zerodha provided an update on X after some time, stating, "Due to a technical issue, some of our users' positions were not displayed. This issue is now fixed. We regret the inconvenience caused."
In June, Zerodha encountered an outage attributed to internet service provider issues affecting data feeds on the Kite platform, but the problem was subsequently resolved.
